Bournemouth seaside boasts seven miles of gently shelving sands running from Hengistbury Head in the east to Alum Chine in the west and continuing on past the border with Poole. We are proud to hold two "Blue Flags" signifying safe, clean holiday beaches.

Dogs are not allowed on the beaches during the summer months, ensuring a safe environment for all.

Bournemouth Town Centre boasts a wide range of shops, with additional shopping areas locally at Boscombe, Westbourne and Southbourne, together with the modern indoor Dolphin Centre at Poole.

A wealth of entertainment is to be found in Bournemouth including: Bournemouth International Centre, featuring shows in the summer season, funfairs in winter, and an indoor swimming pool; the Pavilion Theatre and Ballroom Pier Theatre and Show Bar Cinemas, plus the Imax Cinema.

Night clubs, numerous restaurants and casinos, Ten-Pin Bowling, Quasar and Sega World Soft Play Centre for children in both Bournemouth and Boscombe. Spectacular views from the Balloon Ride high above Bournemouth.

Several museums are in the immediate area: Russell Cotes Art Gallery and Museum, Shelley Rooms dedicated to the famous Poet, Waterfront Museum and Scaplens Court on Poole Waterfront. Bowling is available on the many renowned greens in and around Bournemouth, 2 Municipal Golf Courses locally and 12 other courses within twelve miles. Course fishing on the Stour and Avon rivers; sea fishing from the Piers or on-board boats; Tennis at the many local Municipal Courts and the Bournemouth Tennis Centre. Swimming is a fun event at the Littledown Centre or the Bournemouth International Centre; and Skiing on the dry slope at nearby Christchurch.

Lots of attractions and places to visit abound in the surrounding areas of Christchurch, Poole, Swanage, Wimborne, the Isle of Purbeck, the New Forest and Beaulieu. Visitors without their own transport are well catered for by the local coach companies offering many daily tours and the railway.

Dorset Belles Cruising Company operate cruises from Bournemouth Pier and Poole Quay. Poole is an old seafaring town with working quay and Europe's largest natural harbour. Poole Park has a miniature steam railway, children's indoor play area and boating lake. Poole has museums, boat trips to Brownsea Island, Compton Acres, Potteries. Christchurch offers an 11th century Priory, ruins of Norman Keep, museums, and the Alice in Wonderland Maze.

The New Forest National Park - largest area of open heath and woodland in England; Museum and Visitor Centre in Lyndhurst provide an insight into the area. Exbury Gardens, National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, 19th Century maritime village of Bucklers Hard, Burley. Isle of Purbeck - Wareham, Durlston Country Park, Corfe Castle, Bovington Tank Museum, Arne Toy Museum, Monkey World, Swanage Steam Railway, Putlake Farm.
